Saturday at Camp PTI and a Card

First thing Saturday morning I had to make a birthday card for my bf's mother. He neglected to tell me (a) that it was her birthday and (b) that they were having a party for her that day.

I woke up early and made this card using Plum Pudding and Lavender Moon from PTI. I used Spring Moss ink on the flower stem and Lavender Moon for the flower petals. I wanted a sparkly brad so I used a yellow brad and covered it with yellow stickles. It wasn't my best work, but I wasn't totally awake yet either.

I had made plans that day to go craft shopping with Beth (babies), Lynn (Lynn in St. Louis), and Anna (IndiAnnaJones) from PTI. Beth was here all the way from Maine and I was excited to meet her and my local PTI friends.

We met for breakfast and then hit lots of stores, doing our part to stimulate the local economy. Beth made Camp PTI T-shirts for all of us and also cardstock and ribbon rings with all of the PTI colors so we could easily match up new supplies to our favorite PTI colors. Anna had tote bags for all of us that really came in handy after we hit a few stores and had lots of bags to carry.

It was really nice to finally meet in person after chatting on the PTI forum for so long. We had a great day--good weather, craft shopping, and new friends. What more could you ask for?

It was a perfect day all around. We should really think about doing it more often.

I have bought some t-shirts to paint on and just haven't gotten around to it yet. That is the most gorgeous shirt. I love all the colors and the pattern she used. Wonderful!!!! Alice
