PTI Weekly Challenge

I had time this weekend to play along with the PTI weekly challenge where Lynn provided us with a great sketch. I decided to go for a Christmas theme since the holidays are creeping up--they will be here before we know it. I wish the camera had captured the shimmer in the base and tree image--I used PTI's Shimmer White paper for both.

Paper: PTI Shimmer White and Pure Poppy, green pp from my stash; Ink: PTI Pure Poppy, Copic markers; Stamps: Believe, Snowflake Serenade, Rustic Branches (all from Papertrey Ink)

Next up is a card I entered into the monthly Guest Start Stamper contest over at PTI. Every month you get a chance to win a free stamp set and be featured in their GSS gallery. I didn't win, but I always have fun making something and entering anyway, and I love seeing all of the beautiful creations every month.

Paper: PTI's White, Sweet Blush, Spring Moss, Berry Sorbet, Lemon Tart, Aqua Mist, black paper from my stash; Stamps: PTI's Guidelines, Simple Little Things (Anniversary Set); Ink: Versafine Onyx and Smokey Grey, Copic Markers

The next card was a quick and easy one inspired by the ribbon I found in the $1 bin at Michaels. I noticed it went very well with PTI's Sweet Blush and Berry Sorbet cardstock so I was off and running.

Paper: PTI's Sweet blush, Berry Sorbet, White, bright green paper from my stash; Ink: Berry Sorbet, Versafine Onyx; Stamps: Little Lady (PTI)

I hope you enjoyed looking at my new cards. I'm glad I finally had something to post. :-) (The weather has been so beautiful that it's been hard to stay inside = no time in craft room.)

Have a great rest of the day. Thanks for stopping by.

Weekly PTI Challenge

I stayed up later than normal tonight cleaning up my craft room and trying to accomplish something. I decided to make a card for the weekly challenge over at Papertrey Ink's forum. Kimberly provided us with a sketch and I had some fun picking out bright, fun colors and stamps.

My photo is not the best because I took it at home without help from the wonderful flourescent lights at my office. I am happy with the results though--believe me it looks much better in person.

Here is the same card photographed at my office. (Much better.)

I don't have all of the details on my supplies but I'll list the ones I do have.

Paper: Summer Sunrise and Stamper's Select White (both from PTI),
Ink: Summer Sunrise (PTI) Cherry Pink and Spring Green (both from Impress)
Ribbon: Summer Sunrise (PTI) and hot pink grosgrain from Big Lots $1 section
Stamps: Sentiment is from Paper Tray (PTI) and I can't for the life of me remember who made the flower stamps.

If I haven't listed something it's because it's been in my stash for a while and I honestly can't remember where it came from. Sorry. :-)

Thanks for stopping by. Have a great rest of your weekend.

Finally a little something....

With the holiday weekend and all of the craziness of the last week I wasn't sure I'd be ready with my PTI weekly challenge, but I picked a color challenge and was able to whip something up at the last minute. Colors used were all from PTI--Kraft, Pure Poppy, Dark Chocolate, Aqua Mist. The sentiment is from the Paper Tray set.

Last night I got out my CTMH stamps again and made this simple, but sparkly card. (I used 3 colors of stickles so it really sparkles--Purple, Lavender, Crystal.) I started with a Dark Chocolate base and Plum Pudding and Spring Moss inks for the flowers (from the Dainty set). I stamped the sentiment (from Life is So Good set) in Dark Chocolate ink and tied a bow with some Martha Stewart ribbon. A couple of dew drops finished off the corner nicely.

I'm hoping now that things have calmed down a bit I will be spending more time in my craft room. I have some scrapbooking that I'd like to catch up on too. :-)

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a great day.
