This has been the longest week ever, and today in particular is going to be agony. After about 3 months of waiting I am finally getting my engagement ring tonight! I am so excited!
I'm going to keep this short and sweet so I can try to think about other things to help make it through today. I promise to have some photos up within the next few days. :-)

Happy Ring Day, Mary! It's funny--it was 3 months until I got my ring also. But you are very smart not to go into debt over it. And I used to pick at my nails too (I didn't really bite them--I would just pull them across until they were nothing and looked bad). But I got over that by consciously giving myself something else to do with my hands. Instead of picking at my nails, I would tap out little alternating patterns with my fingertips. Or once my nails were long enough, I would use one nail to push back the cuticles on my other hand. It's just a matter of breaking a habit. I've had my nails respectable for years now. You can do it! And a beautiful ring will make it worth it!
