Waltzingmouse May Blog Waltz

I was very excited to receive my new stamps in time for the blog waltz this month. In honor of the first birthday of Waltzingmouse Stamps, the theme this month is Happy Birthday!

I went to work immediately and created 2 cards, one with a feminine touch and one that would make a good masculine card.

First up is the girlie one. I used stamps from Pic-Nic Patterns, Off Beat Backgrounds, and Fancy Phrases for this. The plaid is made from Summer Sunrise and Hibiscus Burst and I also used Dark Chocolate (PTI) and Shabby Shutters (distress ink).

I went for a clean and simple approach with my next card. I used stamps from Fancy Phrases and Off Beat Backgrounds. The colors used were Dark Chocolate and Ripe Avocado.

I hope you're enjoying the blog waltz. Thanks for stopping by.

Oh Mary I love both your cards!!! I read how you were keeping a notebook of colours to use with the plaid stamps and thought that was a great time saving idea!
The colours you used on your card are perfect. Your stitched card is one I think I might be casing too - perfect for the Male in your life!!!

Your cards are lovely. I just bought a few sets, and may have to rethink that border set to make my own plaid. Thanks for the inspiration!
